QUOTE(Shof @ Sep 10 2006, 11:43 ) I have delt with more stupid bullsh*t problems at work. Such as a user is complaing ther computer is not working and needs replacement. So i asked a stupid question, is the power cable plugged into the wall? He replys, it is not and should he plug it into an outlet Anyways, as with your problem goblin how many watts is your PSU, based on your problems it seems to me that your psu got short circuit because it is not producing the needed watts to turn on with the atx connector on the motherboard As you can figure out from the name, it's a 480 Watter. I didn't have any problems with it untill now. It's not some cheap noname sh*t, it's a tagan Costed me $150. It cannot be too weak, becouse it powered 3 HDD's, 2 CCFL's and my rig with no problems. QUOTE(colpridenyc @ Sep 10 2006, 14:13 ) I ahve a question, how do i make windwos log on to my account automaticly when i turn it on? i only have one account and its not pasword protected so what can i do?
You can use the TweakUI program found in the Program List or you can modifiy the windows registry or do this: 1. Click Start, and then click Run. 2. In the Open box, type control userpasswords2, and then click OK. 3. Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" check box, and then click Apply. 4. In the Automatically Log On window, type the password in the Password box, and then retype the password in the Confirm Password box. 5. Click OK to close the Automatically Log On window, and then click OK to close the User Accounts window. and that should work. If not, try the registry edit below: Here is the registry edit: 1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK. 2. Locate the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon 3. Using your account name and password, double-click the DefaultUserName entry, type your user name, and then click OK. 4. Double-click the DefaultPassword entry, type your password under the value data box, and then click OK. If there is no DefaultPassword value, create the value. To do this, follow these steps: a. In Registry Editor, click Edit, click New, and then click String Value. b. Type DefaultPassword as the value name, and then press ENTER. c. Double-click the newly created key, and then type your password in the Value Data box. If no DefaultPassword string is specified, Windows XP automatically changes the value of the AutoAdminLogon registry key from 1 (true) to 0 (false) to turn off the AutoAdminLogon feature. 5. Double-click the AutoAdminLogon entry, type 1 in the Value Data box, and then click OK. If there is no AutoAdminLogon entry, create the entry. To do this, follow these steps: a. In Registry Editor, click Edit, click New, and then click String Value. b. Type AutoAdminLogon as the value name, and then press ENTER. c. Double-click the newly created key, and then type 1 in the Value Data box. 6. Quit Registry Editor. 7. Click Start, click Restart, and then click OK.
