So finally we're getting rid of our sh*tty old Opel Frontera. We never even would have bought that one out of our own, but it was quite a steal at 7500 with about 50.000km.

We already have a Toyota, but it's a stupid small Yaris.

So here it is:

Attached Image

Toyota Hilux, new model.
- 11.000km (so pretty much new)
- 2.5L D-4D (diesel), not that much horsepower but big torque.
- It's 'light cargo', so (in Belgium atleast) taxes and insurance are dirt cheap.
- 4WD, of course.
- Not a lot of options, apart from A/C.
- It's friggin' huge!! tongue.gif

All in all, sweet car. I'm going to learn to drive in this baby. Can't wait to take it off-road!

Oh and there fits a mattress in the back... pimp.gif

I'm not really a huge fan of big cars. Get it..pun..

Anyways, IMO, take the back cab roof off and it wouldn't look too bad.

I prefer a coupe or something too. But hey, I'm not complaining tongue.gif

My dad wanted a Landrover at first, but the prices man... And that one is 25k, which is a very good price. New it's like 34k, I mean 9k less because it has just 11.000km!

It's not exactly the prettiest either, but for such a comfortable car with Toyota quality and that price, it's something you're willing to take.

Well it'll probably be used as grocery getter a lot, so I think we'll keep the top on most of the time.

Btw, that hilux doesn't look too bad. Not a fan of the design though, but it's still better than a yaris. How are you going to destroy get rid of the frontera?

Haha. You have the right to laugh. Well it's a good car of course, but eeew. And it's green, with those ugly standard rims.

Well I wanted to keep it to play around with, but my dad doesn't want to do that tongue.gif Well it's pretty much done for now, but they're going to try and sell it for a few thousand euros.

And we're not going to have the Hilux right away either. Only by the end of summer. But the guy we're buying it from already let us drive it.

Next week or so, when my exams are over, we'll take the Frontera to an empty parking lot or something so I can drive it before it's gone. Perhaps I'll "accidentally" trash it a little, so I get to keep it whistling.gif

Have fun driving it, driving big trucks like these are not easy since it takes a long time to learn your distances

That's not too bad looking of a vehicle but are those flags behind the Hilux?

Those flags are from the computer shop next door.

And yea learning the distances will be hard. The previous owner, a mechanic (so he knows how to drive a vehicle properly) even dented the rear bumper. Rear visibility is pretty bad, especially with the cap on, which has tinted windows. But he's fitting it with a new bumber, which has parking sensors.

Obviously he doesn't know what he's talking about. I mean, he doesn't even know how to spell it.

We've got it now, and I must say it's a very solid truck. Though I'd never buy something like that myself, you can get a nice beemer for that price.

Yeah they seem to be a decent truck. The Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navarra are quite popular in my area. I prefer the Navarra myself, its got a sporty look to it.

Yea, here too, they actually seem a lot more popular than the Hilux which is quite rare here. But we got the Hilux because the local Toyota dealer had a really nice deal (10k km on it, for €25k, costs €32k new).
