Playstation 3 Consoles Banned From British Jails

The British politician John Reid has announced that PS3's are not going to be accepted in the jails of the UK. The decision is made because they are afraid that the people in jail will use the wire-less WiFi-function of the PS3 and use the wire-less data transfer function to the hand held PSP.

"The advice is sent in December 2006 to all British jails to keep the PS3's out of the cells, because the PS3 can catch and send radio-signals", said John Reid in an interview.

In June 2006 the PS2 was also banned from prisons because they where mainly used to play pornographic material. for the Benelux it still remains unknown if the console is going to be banned too.

That sucks for the criminals in jail, but why on earth would they have gaming consoles in prison in the first place?
