Stupid question here...
I'm sure I wnt through ALL the places but I only got 99 packages.
When looking for package 88 (on the heliport at the airport, the place is just empty!
Here is the pic where you show the statue, while I do not see it:

All the games in the GTA3 era have an in-game cheat counter that will lock you out of that last 1% if you cheat too much. Didn't anyone ever tell you cheaters never prosper? |

| A helicopter is not needed for #61, there is a door that will take you to the roof, the door is next to the bridge to prawn island. |

one great tip:
there is three ways to other island, so use them and keep saving to the bottom slot of saves, and dont make missions, dont cheat, when you have em all save to your bottom slot, delete evrything but dont delete the bottom one, now yuo can load it, and next time you save, save to the top slot, doing this lets you complete the game any time you want with the hidden packages already searched, and you dont have to collect them ever again |

| disheartening last post here was 6 months ago. have played the game countless times prior. now reattempting a more perfect game, recently I found that awaiting door opening to "offices access" my total is 98 NOT 99. cheats are not in my M.O. so I'm convinced of this glitch. there is no proof to me of a 101st package: excluding the erroneously cited VCN easter egg or the "3C" or Ocean View room cocaine kilo which is NOT the green parrot statuette! need an old gamer to clarify existence of the still legendary #101. is it just more in the realm of Big Foots and other-such? took brown thunder to 393 but found it pointless to hunt for free, imagine counter would register to 999 |

#24 won't require a helicopter if you pick it up during "Treacherous Swine" mission.
#49 does not require a helicopter. The pond is shallow enough for you to get to the package on foot.
#42 does not require a helicopter: just make a successful unique jump and you will land on the generator building.
#68 does not require a helicopter: just make a successful unique jump and you will land on the rooftop. Then just jump over to another rooftop to get the package.
#87 does not require a helicopter. Follow the wooden ramps near #88 to get to the top.
#96 does not require a helicopter: just make a successful unique jump and you will land on the airport roof. |

I have collected 99 packages so far, and I'm wondering where my lucky number one hundred package is. I Collected all the others but I'm still am looking to see where I missed one. | Only way to find it is to check all the poitns again, which I'm gonna have to do 'cause I came short too. :[ I'd suggest just taking the sparrow to all the points 'cause its faster and some poitns need a helicopter to be checked. |

| Looks like another sucker came short on 99. :/ Wrote down points I got and points I needed a helicopter to get. When I got all the points I wrote down that needed heli, I found if I had 1,2,3, ect. I did it and it says I got 100. :( |

| When i click the 67th package, "http://www.g-unleashed.com/html/image_view.php?img=GTA%20VC_package068.jpg" this is what i saw in the address bar "68" so when I'm finished collecting the package I continue to the 69 package and i forgot to see the real package 68 :D |

There is no secret to me knowledge. I managed, along with many others, to complete this with no problems. However there were rumours of a bug that may have caused players to not get all 100.
It was never proven though. So it can't be used as an excuse. All I can offer in response is to go back over each one and make sure you've got them all. |

| the Hunter Military Helicopter can also be found where cortez's place is which is the small helicoper landing base is or go to right outside the gun store next to cortez and walk to the ocean where you will see it |

| I got the hidden packages done last night in 2hrs, and after I got the Hunter I went ape shit on it and got to lvl 100. I enjoy that GTA the most out of the series. |

| hey thanks for this great map of locatains of the hidden packages. It helped so much I got all 100 hidden packages and I got the hunter millitary helicopter which is very cool. I kept getting stressed because I had all ready found a few and kept going to the same spot before. It was very stressful but it was while worth it looking for all of the packages. thanks |

| you can get to the other city after making taxi missions get a taxi and go to Cortez then jumb from beside the door with (shift) then get a boat and go to the other city then get all rampages and packages and you have to 1000$ to get the skumhole shack to save and you can get the police or the vcn helicopter this is easy |

there's another advertising board, close to the exit of the carpark on the east of the airport with "vice surf" on it.
You can use this board to get on the roof from the airport. |

| You DON'T need a heli to get the 61st package. yes. there is a door in the ground floor of the building which leads you to the roof just like the "roof access" door in Hyman Condo. |

| I suggest that you do them in order. (1.2.3. etc...) That way if you lose count of which one your on, or need to quit the package hunting for some reason, then it's easy figure out where you left off. When I did it, I had wished that the pictures still had the compass to show which direction he is looking. I had the hardest time finding 69. Mostly because the building faces west, and is sorta hidden. All of them are there. I used a heli for all of them, landed it, then ran a couple of blocks to get 2 or 3 at a time. That way I had the heli when I needed it. BTW 89 is on the green building directly north of 88, right in the middle of the roof. 2 others that I would check to make sure that I had would be 22 (right across the street from the Malibu club, 5 story building, on top. Land heli on the top east side, opposite side of the package) and 24 (the building behind the Malibu club on top, land the heli right next to the package) The bad of these packages, and asking for help to find them is the same as asking: I have written on a sheet of paper numbers from 1-100, and left out one number. Can you tell me which number I left out, without looking? Hope this helps. Thanks for the walkthrough. It's well thought out. |

| you could get a HUNTER after you finish all the mission but you need to wear the cop suit get from the mission called ( COP LAND ) and you need a Maverick( Helicopter ) to past those wire. |

Um... guys... I post this for the guys interested in the legendary package #101. I found it on the building where you start shooting at the cubans in Auntie Poulet's last mission (dirty lickin's, or so...).
If you think that I'm just saying so, then maybe this 'special package' is changing position... anyway, if you go in your room at Ocean View Hotel, there will be a package just like the others, standing on the table (the one that is closest to the door), and having white stuff getting out of it. (It might be cocaine... :D ) |

| You can get 61 without a helicopter by going into the front (open) door of the VCN building. In the screenshot, it's around the bottom-middle of the screen, within the cutout-portion of the front of the building. This leads you to the rooftop, where you can jump off of the helicopter ramp to get to the hidden package. |

| this helped me out alot, what i did that didnt take me so long at all to get the hunter before i finished every mission was get all the package on the part of vice city that you start out on that you can. so any package that doesnt need a heli go get them and when you get all those do the missions until you finish "gaurdian angels" after that just get in a car or on a bike or something then get out and answer the phone then go to the island that diaz is on and get all those packages then do his first mission it should be "the chase" if i remember correctly,then when you get to that island (their hideout) get all of the packages there except for the studio ones, if you go in there without buying it or without a heli then you'll be stuck, once you get those go back to him and do his missions until the one with the gold course then get all those packages, go back to diaz again and do his missions until the last part of vice city is unlocked the immedietly go to package 58 (the one by mars cafe) but if your gonna do the packages in order then buy the condo (the building by mars cafe) and go up to the roof (roof access door) and there will sit your helicopter. then go back to 13 get that package then the studio packages. then do the rest of the packages. thats my best way of getting the packages fast. |

To get #90 without a heli you should get a PACKER and not a FREEWAY. A Freeway is bike and a Packer is the one you're trying to describe, (truck w/ a car holder). |
